Rose is a small fishing village at the point where the Bay of Kotor slowly opens toward the open sea.
A village best reached by boat
Herceg Novi is across the water. The most beautiful and the easiest way to reach Rose is by boat. The whole village is a quiet place with no resorts and no crowds. Especially in June or September you get the impression that it was made only for you.
An hour from Tivat
From Tivat it is about an hour of sailing. From Kotor two, because you cross the whole bay first, past Perast and through the Verige strait, which is of course not lost time. It is the best part of the morning.
Rose is rarely the only stop. It goes together with Žanjic, with Mamula and sometimes with the Blue Cave.
Adriatic Rose
Our stop is usually Adriatic Rose, right on the shore. We tend to order the Coastal seafood platter for two and we have never regretted that choice. Black risotto, squid, prawns and fried mussels with potato salad, all on one board, a rhapsody of seafood flavours.
After lunch comes coffee or a glass of wine, the feeling that you are in no hurry anywhere and a swim if you want one.
