Every story about One Day Charter begins long before the first boat. It begins in a place with a view of the pearl of the Bay of Kotor.
On the Verige side, where the bay narrows the most, there is an ordinary stone wall with a view stretching straight out to Our Lady of the Rocks. No plaque, no landmark, just stone, sea and an island that seems to float in the distance. That is where we kissed for the first time, in 2017. That evening we knew nothing of what we know today. We only knew the view was the most beautiful in the world and that we were in no hurry to be anywhere else.
Four years later, with the people we love, we sailed by catamaran to Our Lady of the Rocks itself and got married there. From that day on, we became symbolically bound to the Boka forever.
Another four years passed and the Boka was waiting for us again, to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives: our daughter's first birthday. Once again we celebrated with our loved ones in the grounds of St Nicholas' church in Prčanj and once again we arrived by catamaran. The third great milestone of our life and the third joy on the same shore.
People sometimes ask us how we turned all of this into our work, how we sail guests through this same bay almost every day. The truth is simple: for us, the Boka was never just a place. She is an honorary member of our family. She was there when we fell in love, when we married and when our family grew. Everything we do today is simply our way of passing that love on. And catamarans, they are part of that love.
So if one day we take you through Verige by catamaran or another boat and point out a perfectly ordinary little wall, know that we are not showing you a landmark. We are showing you the place where it all began for the two of us.
